Date: 26th June 2018
As you may know, HealthWise Wales is a population health research platform, which currently has over 19,000 participants. HealthWise Wales provides a database of participants who can be contacted to take part in research studies. We also collect behavioural and opinion data from participants and have consent to access their routinely collected health data. Participants are asked to answer questionnaires about their lifestyle and background, as well as on health issues affecting Wales, such as cancer screening, the costs of medicines to the NHS etc. This information is linked to the NHS data via the SAIL databank and is available (upon application) to researchers.
There are three main ways HealthWise Wales can support your work:
- You can apply to access the data we have collected via our Portal.
- You can apply to submit a questionnaire to be added to the HealthWise Wales website, to collect data on a topic you are researching.
- You can advertise study opportunities to our participants.
To find out more about the project, and the ways we can work together, please join us at our workshop on Tuesday 26th June.
